Aria Resort and Casino is a luxury resort and casino, part of the CityCenter complex on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Aria consists of two curved glass and steel highrise towers adjoined at the center. It opened on December 16, 2009 as a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Infinity World Development. At 4 million sq ft (370,000 m2) and 600 ft (180 m) in height, it is the largest and tallest structure at CityCenter.

Paulette S wrote in a review "This day was a nightmare and I am very disappointed in Aria which is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, there is limited information that is given when booking reservations. I left BWI at 8:40am (by the way I have been up since 4am) I arrive at the airport in Las Vegas no shuttle to pick me up. I get to the hotel my room will not be ready until 3pm (that information was not disclosed during booking) however I paid all this money for poor unacceptable service. I will not be back."

"High turnover rate with cenas management never enforce the rules on the staff who break them but target the good ones.they let the residents outside drugs and let residents talk to staff like dogs and never have your back when they lie on staff members or management all the time I did not stay long at this job in would say noone should. They say it's a coincidence but you really expect people to believe that? - Morale is low so the company is doing everything they can (guest speaker from one investment firm) to calm people's fears. Truth of the matter is we're not closing sales. Our target market is very narrow, we can't compete with the bigger companies. - EVERY townhall meeting we have starts with the CEO saying "we're on to big things." We've been waiting years NOT months."

I'd recommend asking the following types of questions (after checking them out on Crunchbase): 1) As a late-stage startup, are you targeting IPO or M&A? Do you have a defined path to that goal and when are you targeting completion? 2) When are you targeting Profitability, and how are you tracking against that goal this quarter? 3) How much attrition has this department experienced in the last 6 months? In the last year? 4) How often do you do annual salary reviews? How long is the typical time to promotion? 5) What is Aria doing to distinguish itself from the competitors within the space? You get the idea. If you're going to take a gamble in the Bay Area, be sure you know what you're getting into."

If you're considering joining Aria Systems in the Engineering group and think your current dev team is bad, this is worse than anything you can imagine. Think multiple patches to production environments per WEEK. Constant world ending defects. Never ending "drop everything for this client that hasn't paid us a dime yet" emails that totally derail a dev team. Upper management having way too much influence in day to day operations with no real understanding of what it takes to produce functional code. Truly massive requirement documents with months of work that need to be competed in just a few weeks. Pivots. CONSTANT product pivots and directional changes every few months. How are you supposed to feel when your CEO is talking about reinventing your product when you're still working on last quarter's product pivot? Just stay away. It's not worth it."


"I worked at Aria Systems for more than a year Cons: - Bureaucratic and slow-moving; not the "dynamic, fast-moving start-up" they claim to be. Trying to be cautious / conservative, but ends up costing because it takes too long to realize they're going the wrong direction. - "Us vs. Them" mentality between PA and CA offices - Some groups think their role is to say "NO" instead of helping find ways to get to "YES" - Very strict job descriptions that lead to a lot of "That's not my job" and "I'm not allowed to do that." - Tolerance for people that clearly don't know what they're doing but are allowed to keep trying despite inability to deliver results. - Management tries to "spin" issues in ways that any semi-intelligent child could see through, for example, as mentioned in an earlier review, the CEO is always saying "We're in a different space than (who is half our age and eating our lunch)" and then proceeds to compare ourselves with them constantly, and trumpet "wins" against this competitor, and "We're going after enterprise deals" (and then can't close them)."


"I worked at Aria Systems Cons: Let me start off by saying this company spends too much money on useless things. They fly managers, directors and VPs across country to attend dinner events or outings. When there are special events like team dinners, other employees not part of the team are invited, thus resulting in a large dinner tab. Again, lots of money spent on entertainment rather than rewarding your hard working employees with raises and or GOOD bonuses. Like some of the other reviews have stated, some managers are incapable of doing their job. All it takes is constant whining and lack of progress. It's the only company I know of that rewards people for not doing enough. Some groups have 2-3 people on the team, but reality is the amount of work to be done could be performed by 1-2 people if they chose to actually work and not talk all day. Let's talk about the identity crisis. Management does a "great" job of telling people that the company is an enterprise level company. Truth of the matter is, the company spends A LOT of time bashing its closest competitor. The company has a hard time getting into deals with larger companies, so they end up closing deals with smaller companies. So which is it Mr CEO? I thought the deal size we wanted was bigger, yet we're settling for smaller deals because we can't close the larger deals. AND, the deals with the larger companies are TINY when you look at the overall deal. Signing a deal w/ a large telecom company is great BUT what you're not considering is that said company is using your technology for a small product in their portfolio. The company is not switching their entire billing system over to Aria. There's a huge misconception with these large size deals. During one all hands meeting it was said that the company doesn't compete in the same market as their closest competitor. Then why is it that new clients the company signs up are always stated with "We took this away from [insert competitor's name]." It's like they're super jealous of the competitor and every chance they get to take a jab at the company is well worth the effort. Now let's talk about how unrealistic this company can be. Client facing employees are so afraid of telling the customers no. Lots of overpromising with unrealistic goals. The company is so afraid of losing the customer during the implementation phase that they will do whatever it takes to make sure the project succeeds. It doesn't matter if the changes to the codebase will affect other customers, it's all about pleasing whoever is up to bat. After all, every email that goes out to all employees to announce a new client is always stated with "Great logo for the website." Yep, the company bases it's success and hopes of reeling in new customers by putting fancy logos on their website."

How is it that our competitor, the ones that are lying is generating more money than us and have thoughts of filing an IPO and they have been in business as long as we have (just about). Ok so now let's talking about us being straight shooters. How often have we done damage control because a certain group has failed multiple times and our clients are pissed? Yeah there are a couple of "bad apples" in the company but the ones who are really bad are the ones the company chooses to keep around because they talk a big game. So let's see where aria goes in a few years when the funding rounds dry up and we can't make payroll."
